The 2nd edition of the Neoclassical Chess GM tournament is being held on 3 June in the NH Madrid Nacional Hotel in Madrid, Spain and features five top players in a round-robin: Ponomariov, Vallejo, Short, Granda and Antón. The time control is 25 minutes for all moves, with a 10-second increment per move.
The only difference between “neoclassical” chess and normal chess is that the game starts on White’s fourth move. The first three moves are made for the players using a special program that randomly selects openings based on recent top-level games. Official website: www.ajedrezneoclasico.es
